Frequently Asked Questions

How much are your cakes?

Each of my cakes is a bespoke creation, crafted with love and fresh, local ingredients. As food, fuel, and energy costs rise, I consider these factors when planning your cake. Starting with your budget can help us design a cake that fits your needs. For example, a simple two-tiered naked wedding cake with one flavor and minimal decoration is a great option for smaller weddings.

It's also important to consider the purpose of your cake. Will it be shared with guests as a taster or toast? Is it for a sharing platter in the evening? Or will it serve as your dessert, eliminating the need for a separate one? Be sure to discuss with your catering team if they're comfortable serving your cake as the dessert.

Do you deliver?

I offer cake delivery services at £0.50 per mile, plus the time spent traveling to and from your venue and any setup time. Single-tier and smaller two-tier cakes can be collected directly from my kitchen. For larger cakes, I can deliver to your venue, even outside Tunbridge Wells. Please note that fuel costs and travel time will affect the overall price.

How do I store my cake and how long will it last?

I bake each cake close to delivery or collection to ensure maximum freshness. Cakes are best enjoyed on the day they're received. Your cake will be packaged in a sturdy cake box. Once collected or delivered, the responsibility for the cake transfers to you. Store it in the fridge and take it outside to get to room temperature 2 hours before serving. Leftovers can be kept for up to 48 hours in the fridge in a sealed container.

How do I order one of your cakes?

As I'm often in the kitchen, email is the best way to reach me.

Please provide as much detail as possible, including the date of the celebration, dietary needs, preferred flavors, decoration ideas, guest count and venue location if you would like the cake to be delivered.

I aim to respond promptly, though during peak wedding months (May to September), replies may take longer. Feel free to contact me via social media as well.

What happens if I need to cancel my cake order?

Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes events may require cake orders to be postponed or canceled. I strive to remain flexible and work with you to adapt plans as needed.

You'll get a full refund for a cake cancelled 1 month before the scheduled date, 50% if cancelled up to 2 weeks before and no refund will be given for cake cancelled after that.

If, in the unlikely event, I cannot fulfill your cake order, I will refund any payments in full and assist in finding another cake maker for you.
